Zimbabwe Seismic Network • The four stations : Kri, Mtd, Byo, Cir produced analog recordings up to 1993 when the stations ceased operating. • Implying that from 1993 to 2003 when Matp station was opened, there was no monitoring. • Matp station has been operating since 2003 as a single three component station.

  5. The 15meter tunnel was excavated inside this mountain The IMS Facility • ● The site is within the National Park premises. • ● The entrance to the tunnel is kept secured at all times. Access to the tunnel is possible only with personnel from NDC

  6. The Underground Office This is a self contained office with the required equipment housed in this 15metre 3- compartment office. ● The satellite dish and the generator are behind the mountain.
