The Rural Banker 2000 system (RB2000) is a project of the RBAP funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the MABS Program. RB2000 is a banking software designed for rural bankers. From inception, the system has been designed to accommodate the needs of small, medium-sized, and large banks.

Status Report RB2000 Version 1.1 • BSP has already certified that RB2000 Version 1.1 is compliant to BSP reportorial requirements through email from Mr. Nestor A. Espenilla, Assistant Governor, SES & SRSO. “On this basis, we are pleased to consider the GL and SCHAD Modules of RB2000 Version 1.1 as compliant with the BSP reportorial requirements under Circular 249 dated June 26, 2000 and supplemented by Circular Letter to All Rural/Cooperative/Microfinance (Rural) Banks dated November 13, 2002.” RB2000

PDA Brief Overview Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) refers to any small mobile hand-held device that provides computing and information storage and retrieval capabilities for personal or business use, often for keeping schedule, calendars and address book information handy. Several microfinance institutions (MFIs) worldwide are now using PDAs in their operations. In 2000, a MABS participant bank in Mindanao piloted the use of PDA for their daily and weekly collections.
