Where was the Sui Dynasty Located? The Sui Dynasty was located in Northern and Southern China. The capital was located at Luoyang.
Leaders of This Dynasty What’s interesting about this Dynasty is that it only had two emperors. A Dynasty is a sequence of rulers from the same family. The first was Yang Jian. The second was his son SiuYangdi. When Yang Jian died in 604 (Supposedly murrderd by his son Sui Yangdi.) Yangdi then took over.
What was this Dynasty known for? The Sui Dynasty was known for many grand things. Like… • Uniting most of Northern and Southern China after nearly 400 years of civil war(I think that’s really interesting) • A new law code • A new capital built near Xi’an • Buddhism being prompted
Continued… • The first grand canal was built, a water way for shipping grain and other products. It exended almost 1,200 miles! From Hang Zhou to Yang near Bejing • Equal-field system, initiated to reduce the • rich-poor • social gap

Why did this Dynasty end? After there first failed attempt to Conquer Korea and Manchuriain in 612, the Chinese people became dissatisfied. In 615 the Sui army suffered yet another defeat, against the Eastern Turks. Yangdi retreated South. Yangdi was assassinated in 618 ending the Sui Dynasty. The same year the Tang Dynasty was founded.
