  3. BILINGUAL EDUCATION • MANY STUDENTS ADAPT FASTER TO OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM WITH THE HELP OF INSTRUCTION IN THEIR NATIVE TONGUE.

  4. REDUCING RACISM IN THE CLASSROOM STRATEGIES MAY INCLUDE: ARRANGING THE STUDENTS INTO GROUPS SO THEY WORK WITH A VARIETY OF PEERS USING COOPERATIVE LEARNING

AWARENESS IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BECOME AND REMAIN AWARE OF THE DIFFERENCES AMONG STUDENTS IN YOUR CLASSROOM. • Interact with your students. • Talk to other teachers . • Communicate with parents. • Take time to “get to know” your students by engaging them in conversation and personal activities.
