Recent Work of the Strategic Planning Committees • Continued Organizational Refinement and Development of Processes (see also Program Review) • Planning for Future Construction • New Nursing/Science Building (Riverside) • Parking Structure (Moreno Valley) • Early Childhood Services Building (Moreno Valley) • Network Operation Center Proposal (Norco and MV) • Regular updates on Programs in the Planning Stages • International Business, Banking and Insurance Programs
Instructional Program Review • Comprehensive Process (every 4 years) • 30 completed (1 pending edits) • 17 to be reviewed by the committee this spring (5 for review next week) • Round Two begins in March with 12 disciplines • Anticipated completion Fall 2007 • Annual Program Review • Round One reports due March 15 • Anticipate approx 90 discipline reports sorted by campus
Non-Instructional Program Review • Student Services has completed reviews annually • Process for all other non-instructional programs under development • Planned completion in March • Launch of process this Spring • Due each September 1 • Each review will: • Consider needs arising from instructional program review • Include Administrative Unit Outcomes (AUO)
Integration of Program Review & Planning • Comprehensive Review informs… • Annual Review - Spring • Needs assessment from Annual Review informs appropriate Non-Instructional Unit’s reviews - September • Needs assessment from Program Review Process provided to Campus/District Strategic Planning Committees for consideration each fall • Budgetary needs assessment ready for inclusion in spring budgetary planning
Long Term Planning • Activities in Collaboration with Chuck McIntyre • Focus Groups with Community, Students, Staff, Faculty in January • Meetings with Planning Leaders in the County • Review of Planning Reports available in the community • Western Regional Council of Governments Growth Forecast: (http://www.wrcog.cog.ca.us/) • Southern California Association of Government’s Housing Needs Assessment and Population report (data through 2014) (http://www.scag.ca.gov/) • Inland Empire Quarterly Economic Report • County Planning Department General Plan • High level of collaboration and cooperation -- individuals and organizational representatives express high regard for RCCD
Accreditation Updates • Each campus is nearing completion of their draft • Drafts to be completed in April • Function Maps of District and Campus functions will be complete this month • Presentation to the Board in May • Website with Evidence and Drafts in development at http://10.10.213.236:8080/default.aspx • Accessible on campus
