Portal Interoperability • Why we are doing it • To share L&T resources across subject boundaries • To share resources with those who support learners and teachers • To inform senior managers to help them inform policy within HEIs and in the wider sector • To create the central point in the sector for harvesting and sharing publicly funded resources

Portal Interoperability • Where we are up to • Partnerships at various stages • Metadata scheme and vocabularies are agreed and available • Cataloguing guidelines being created • Scripts and data extraction layer being developed • Cataloguing workshops being organised for November and February

Portal Interoperability • Current issues • Establishing appropriate communications between partnerships and portal to identify needs and create solutions • Creating a realistic set of goals in a realistic timetable for what can be achieved by July • Re-energising commitment to wider project • Back-cataloguing of data strategies
