The Medicaid expansion is the clear choice for Washington State and its people. • 260,000 more people will be covered! Keep families and communities strong, secure and healthy. • It is a great deal for our state: saves $225 million & brings in $1 billion in federal funds (in the first biennium alone). • Let’s put federal dollars to work in our own backyard to create healthier people and a healthier economy.
Strengthen Apple Health for Kids No child should go without health care Reverse unaffordable monthly premiums imposed on hundreds of children in immigrant families. It doesn’t matter where you come from; here in Washington, our families should have access to the health care that builds strong kids. Cost for the 2013-2015 biennium: $579,000. Open more doors to coverage and care. The tools provided in the Affordable Care Act – such as the Medicaid expansion – can spur effective enrollment methods that connect uninsured children to the health care they need.
