…, but where does our course come in? • This course aims at improving students’ practical skills of interpreting consecutively between English and Chinese. Through contrastive studies of the English and Chinese languages, which covers issues of discourse analysis, textuality, style, register, fuzzy message, syntax, etc., the course introduces the language understanding and converting skills that enable students to be more capable interpreters for sophisticated consecutive interpretation tasks.
