  2. Did You Know? • Did you know that our Earth is changing everyday? • Some changes happen quickly. Example- Volcano • Some changes happen slowly. Example- Weathering and Erosion

  3. What is Weathering and Erosion? • Weathering- is the breaking down of rocks. This is caused by- wind, water, ice, and root growth. • Erosion- is the movement of rocks from one place to another. This is caused by- wind, water, and gravity.

  4. $1,000,000.01 Questions! • Where does sand come from? -from larger pieces of rock • How is sand made? -from weathering~ wind, water, ice, root growth

  5. Let’s look at how landforms can weather and erode by the wind.
