Looking for students • If you are interested in research, • Read up on our research • Contact me to meet with graduate student to receive a trial project • Solid background in computer graphics and math • If you are interested in research and funding (1-2 PhD positions), • Take HCI in the spring (and do very well) • Contact me to set up a meeting with graduate student to receive a trial project • Defining characteristics • User-centric research (conduct user studies) • Highly student-motivated and multidisciplinary • Travel internationally and publishes aggressively at major venues • Students interested in academic careers (all graduated PhD students are assistant professors [2] or postdocs [1] at big universities) • Students interested in being internationally known in HCI
