Bomphiologia Words as seem altogether too high and lofty for the matter. It is derived from a speaker's effort to seem more educated or elevated than he really is. Example: Two cats ... alighting opposite one another on my visage, betook themselves to indecorous contention for the paltry consideration of my nose.
Enargia A vivid description of something. Example: “a dull, heavy, monotonous clang; and when the minute-hand made a circuit of the face, and the hour was to be stricken, there came from the brazen lungs of the clock…a note and emphasis that, at each lapse of an hour…”
