  2. Project Goals • Improve drainage • Improve pedestrian facilities • Improve roadway condition

  3. Project Phasing Phase 1 – Concept Development Phase 2 – Preliminary Engineering Phase 3 – Construction

  4. What happened in the past? • Concept was finalized in 2009 • Bike compatibility waiver was approved. • Over 2/3 of property owners voted to proceed with select on-street parking reduction in order for drainage improvements to be implemented

  5. What are the needs now? • To bring the project compliant with current environmental regulations New Storm Water Management (SWM) regulations were implemented in 2010 Different SWM practices (bioswales, micro bioretention, wet swale etc) need to be investigated and used where practical • To provide ADA compliant sidewalks 5 foot sidewalks need to be provided from back of curb to back of sidewalk with no obstacles. The 2009 concept has utility poles, traffic signs, mailboxes, etc within the proposed sidewalk.

  16. What to expect next? • Surveys crew already started the work • Field Engineers • Refine the concept to comply with the new regulation • Re-establish community task force • Next task force meeting in 2-3 month • Schedule a. Survey completion 4/25/14 b. PI (30% design) milestone meeting 6 month after survey completion.
