  2. Creative Use of Plastic Waste The „Capri-Sonne“-Bags

  3. The Problem of Plastic Waste • People often throw away their garbage without care • Plastics contain pollutants, they may cause cancer • Cannot be decomposed

  4. Fashionable Bags Made of Waste • Many people earn their money by making these bags • Hard work (takes 3-4 months of collecting , folding and sewing) • Celebrities like Britney Spears made them socially acceptable

  5. Do-It-Yourself Instruction • Take a normal pack of “Capri-Sonne” (flavour of your choice) • First, drink all of it before you start!

  6. Step 1 • Cut off the front and back and then cut it in stripes

  7. Step 2 • Take two stripes • Fold each strip twice • Fold one into the other ( closed ledge outside)

  8. Step 3 • Sew all parts together and add a handle (of your choice)
