War Bonds Created to finance the War effort by borrowing money from the people back home.
WACS Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps- Established as a means of military service for women in WWII. Women served in clerical duties, radio operators etc., non combat duties
War Production Board The purpose of the board was to regulate the production and allocation of materials and fuel during World War II in the United States. It rationed such things as gasoline, heating oil, metals, rubber, and plastics.
Rationing Rationing is the controlled distribution of resources and scarce goods or services: it restricts how much people are allowed to buy or consume.
Selective Services Act This Selective Service Act required that men between the ages of 21 and 30 register with local draft boards. Later, when the U.S. entered World War II, all men aged 18 to 45 were made liable for military service, and all men aged 18 to 65 were required to register.
Rosie the Riveter representing the six million women who worked in the factories that produced weapons during WWII. These women took the places of the male workers who were absent fighting in the Pacific and European theaters.
