WHAT IS EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION?“Experience As Education” • “Experiential Education refers to learning activities that engage the learner directly in the phenomena being studied” (NSIEE, 1986) • “Experiential Education refers to the pedagogical process that actively engages the learner in the phenomena being studied” (NSEE, 1998) • “Experiential Education refers to learning activities that involve the learner in the process of active engagement with and critical reflection about phenomena being studied” (NSEE, 2006)
