AIDS would account for the deaths of between 5 million and 7 million South Africans by the year 2010. 4 million South Africans are infected with HIV, without resources a quarter of the populations deaths in the country are infected adults. AIDS Numbers
The Medical Research Councilreports indicate that 40% of all deaths among South Africans ages 15 to 49 were due to AIDS-related causes. It is estimated that on average, 16.2% of children under age 15 will be orphaned from all causes in 19 African countries by 2010. Imagine
The Lies • Figures on five-year-old death certificates, which often misrepresent the cause of death because they state that infections such as pneumonia, cancer or tuberculosis caused death, which are brought on by an immune system weakened by AIDS.
