Mixing in a Static Mixer • In static mixers, a fluid is pumped through a pipe containing stationary blades. This is particularly well suited for laminar flow mixing as it decreases the extent pressure losses in the flow regime. • This model studies the mixing of a species from one side of the fluid volume to throughout the whole fluid volume as it passes three twisted blades of alternate rotations.
