Action Verb • A verb is a word that expresses action. It tells what the subject of the sentence does. • Example: 1. Rodney packed his sleeping bag. 2. John jumps rope everyday.

Mental Verb Most verbs express physical actions. Some verbs, however, express mental actions. • Examples: 1. Gregory thinks he won. 2.Rodney hoped for a sunny weekend.
Verb examples • The bear sleeps. • The dog eats everyday. • Rosa plays soccer. • The frog hops.
