  3. The Show The Bad World Tour was the first solo concert tour by American recording artist Michael Jackson, launched in support of his seventh studio album Bad (1987). Sponsored by Pepsi and spanning 16 months, the tour included 123 concerts to 4.4 million fans across 15 countries making it the second highest grossing tour of 1988. When the tour concluded it grossed a total of $125 million, adding two new entries in the Guinness World Records for the largest grossing tour in history and the tour with the largest attended audience. Curiosities • During the concert in Brisbane, Stevie Wonder sang Bad together with Michael Jackson. • In Japan, the 9 concerts originally planned for September 1987 were sold out in a few hours so 5 more dates were added to meet the high demand. Jackson performed 14 concerts sold out, logging more than 570,000 total viewers, beating all previous Japanese record (until then the record was 200,000 viewers in a whole tour). In December 1988, Jackson returned to perform in Tokyo with other 9 sold out concert in front of 405,000 people. In total, over 975,000 Japanese have attended the concerts of the Bad World Tour. • At the last concert in the United Kingdom (at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool) 125,000 people attended the concert, the largest ever seen in the country for a solo artist. Hundreds of people were wounded and twenty were even arrested.

The Show Following the huge success of the Bad World Tour, Jackson's first solo world tour, where he earned over $125 million, the star claimed that he would not tour again, and would instead concentrate on making films and records. On February 3, 1992 in a Pepsi press conference, it was announced that Jackson would be touring again, with the Dangerous World Tour. The announcement coincided with a new deal between Jackson and Pepsi, with a reported $20 million deal to sponsor the tour. he stage used for the tour required more time to set up than before. Curiosities • During their stay in Italy, Jackson had planned to visit the cities of Florence and Pisa but was forced to cancel them because security management was not able to handle the number of fans, journalists and photographers around him. • On July 4, 1992 at his show in Rome, a man took the stage during Michael Jackson’s performance of "Workin 'Day And Night“, trying to hug Michael but was immediately taken away by security. A similar incident happened on August 28, 1992 at his Frankfurt concert, when a man took the stage during "Smooth Criminal" and tried to hug Michael. • During the 5 concerts held at Wembley Stadium in London, Jackson has performed in front of a total of 360,000 people, the same number of spectators present to his eight concerts at the Tokyo Dome, while during the five concerts held at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, Jackson has performed in front of a total of over 500,000 people.

  16. The Show The HIStory World Tour was the third and final worldwide solo concert tour by American artist Michael Jackson, covering Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and North America. The tour included a total of 83 concerts and was attended by approximately 4.5 million fans, beating his previous Bad World Tour with 4.4 million.   20. Curiosities • Jackson performed a concert at Letna Park in Prague, one of Jackson's largest single attended concerts in his career. On October 7, 1996, he performed for the first time ever in Arab world in front of 60,000 fans in Tunis in a solo tour. • During the tour's stopover in Sydney, Australia, he married his wife (later ex-wife), Debbie Rowe in a private and impromptu ceremony. • On January 3 and 4, 1997 Jackson only performed two concerts in North America. He did not perform in the USA mainland, but rather in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Aloha Stadium to a crowd of 35,000 each. • Jackson performed at the ParkenStadium in Copenhagen on his 39th birthday with 50,000 fans. He was presented with a surprise birthday cake, marching band, and fireworks on stage after the song You Are Not Alone.
