Purpose of the Yoshi Unit • Participate in Midian Shrine Functions, or other functions as the Potentate and/or Unit Officers shall direct, especially to promote fun and good will to crippled, burned, or handicapped children. What we do • Participate in approved parades with our Go Carts. Participate in Central States Shrine Association events and Parades for Midian.
How to join the Yoshi Unit • ASK for a Membership Petition from any Yoshi member or contact a Unit Officer. • Complete the Petition and turn it in to a Unit Officer or turn it in to the main office at the Midian Shrine office. • Undergo a brief personal interview, usually at a unit meeting. • Then be voted in by the Unit Members
What is the initial Cost? • Initiation Fee $15.00 + Dues $25.00 = $40.00 (dues are increasing so call current President for info) • Annual Dues thereafter = $33.00 (Dues are increasing so call current President for info) • Unit shirt + embroidery = approx $100.00 • Unit uniform is Black Slacks and Black Shirt, required for parades with other optional uniforms • New member hand book given out after you join with all uniform info listed and approx cost of items
When and where are ourunit meetings held? • Unit meetings are held at 7:30 pm, the first Monday of the Month, at the Temple (Normally in Isis Room West) • Prior to meetings – meet in Oasis for general fellowship with other Nobles
