  6. Fair book Changes for 2012 • Selection of Supreme Breeding Heifer and Reserve Supreme Breeding Heifer • Showmanship will be broken into three divisions: • Jr. (10 yr olds) • Int. (11-12 yr. olds) • Sr. (13-18 yr. olds) • One division of beef showmanship (vs. market and breeding)

  7. Fair book Changes for 2012 Harvesting only Grand and Reserve Champions in market beef, market goat, market sheep and swine. Swine show remains terminal. Carcass contest requirements have been revised.

  8. New for 2012 • Herdsmanship will be judged for 2012 • Addition of Breeding Meat Goats • Dog show, two additional classes: • Advanced Graduate Novice • Graduate Open

  9. New for 2012 Static exhibits must have received a purple ribbon at county to advance. Beginning level static classes are not eligible for State Fair. Large static exhibits made for outdoors may be displayed outdoors at the discretion of 4-H staff or area superintendents.

  10. New for 2012 Career Exploration Interview competition: First Sunday SET Award – Given to exhibits that exemplify Science innovation

  11. Entry ShoWorks: Beef, Sheep, Swine, Rabbit, Poultry, Goat. Due August 10 – program will close. FairPlus: Presentations, Fashion Shows, Contests, Companion Animal, Dog. Due August 10 – will post to check for errors. August 14 – noon. Static Advance Entry Deadline: August 21, noon.

Software Update • FairPlus will be in use for District and State Contests and State Fair Static Exhibits • FairPlus will be available for county fair use • Integrate with Access 4H • Work as it has in the past • Testing is underway! • First version is working • Several counties will help test

  13. Tools for You In the near future, expect to see: • Recorded Webinars (at least monthly) • Written Instructions • Integrating Access 4H data into FairPlus • Entering State Fair livestock classes • Entering State Fair contests and static exhibits • FairPlus upgrades and data files
