Education • He got his early education in middle school. • Then in 1900 he entered Harvard university. • He graduated four years later and then he got his PhD in physics, four years later. • And finally he became a professor at Higgins university.
What he did • He research the effects of high pressures on materials and their thermodynamic behaviour. • He did extensive investigations on all sorts of different properties up to 100,00 atmosphere pressures. • This is Percy

What he got for his services • He received honorary doctor of science degrees from Stevens institutes. • He received the Rumford medal, the Cresson medal, the Comstock medal and the Comstock prize. • And the New York award of the research corporation.

His marriage and his children • He married Olive Ware in 1912. • Then they had two children Jane in 1914 and their son Robert in 1915.
