Major Steps Taken during 2012-13 • School Mapping Exercise Completed. • Power withdrawn for Detachment & Re-Deployment Teachers from the SDEO /DEO. • Notification Issued for the Detachment / Re-Deployment of Teachers. • Notification Issued on no transfer & posting of Adhoc/Contract teachers till regular appointment. • Notification Issued for strengthening of implementation of civil works under SSA & RMSA for the state of Nagaland.

  12. Major Steps Taken during 2012-13 • 6. Strengthen the Account Section of SMA/DMA. • Introduced Best SMC award in Sub-divisions, districts & state. • Obtained NCTE approval to the proposal for Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ele.Ed.) course of two years duration through ODI made to be conducted for 10863 untrained Primary / Upper Primary teachers in Nagaland by NIOS. • GOI Approved Establishment of 3 DIETs in Peren, Longleng & Kiphire Districts. • GOI approved establishment of 8 BITEs.

Major Problems • Villages are scattered with un-negotiable terrain. • High Number of Access-less habitations in the State. • High no. of old and dilapidated school buildings. • Low intake Capacity of DIETs in the state. • Only two B.Ed. Colleges with 100 intake capacity at Kohima & Mokokchung under Nagaland University. • IGNOU correspondence course on B.Ed. Course has just begun.

Requests • Induction training for 2276 teachers. • Teachers grant for Proper implementation of CCE. • Release of Salary for on going 22 Taekwondo & 22 Archery Coaches. • Consideration for Approval of 2 RPs for CWSN against already approved EBRCs. • Continuation for on going ECCE program. • Continuation for on going LEP (137 schools) • Continuation of on going program under CAL for 534 GMS up to 2016. • Expansion of civil works of first two KGBVs from 50 to 100.
