Integer • An integer is a number that can be written without a fractional or decimal component
Rational numbers • a rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two a rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers
Scientific notation • is a way of writing numbers that are too big or too small to be conveniently written in decimal form
Perfect squares • is an element of algebraic structure which is equal to the square (algebra) of another element.
Irrational numbers • is any real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio a/b, where a and b are integers and b is non-zero.
Real Numbers • is a value that represents a quantity along a continuous line
Adjacent angles • often shortened as adj. ∠s, are angles that have a common ray coming out of the vertex going between two other rays, with no overlap of the regions "enclosed" by the two angles. In other words, they are angles that are side by side, or adjacent.
Coefficient • is a multiplicative factor in some term of an expression (or of a series); it is usually a number, but in any case does not involve any variables of the expression.
Distance formula • is a numerical description of how far apart objects are
Domain • is an identification string that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority, or control on the Internet
Hypotenuse • the longest side of a right-angled triangle, the side opposite the right angle
Rational numbers • a rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers, with the denominator q not equal to zero. Since q may be equal to 1, every integer is a rational number
Range • the range of a function refers to either the co domain or the image of the function, depending upon usage
Slope • the slope or gradient of a line describes its steepness, incline, or grade
Prism • a prism is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light
Scatter plot • A scatter plot or scatter graphis a type of mathematical diagram using Cartesian coordinates to display values for two variables for a set of data.
Slope intercept form • A way to express the equation of a line
