2. These characters will steal your hearts in only one episode. • Sammy is known for his adventurous nature. He’s determined, enthusiastic and confident. • Oshi is known for his ingenuity. He’s a deep thinker, creative and intelligent. • Sebastian is known for his crusades. He’s easygoing, calm and has a hippy quality. • Jomo is known for overcoming his fears. He’s quiet but talented in surfboard design. • Savvy is known for her compassion. She’s spirited, silly, uplifting, very warm and lovable. Loves anything that makes her say “Oh Wow!” • Clyde is known for his “Golden” powers. He’s loyal, trainable and loves the kids. He has natural powers that saves lives, retrieves boards, and so much more …

3. Characters Sammy- From the West Coast of Canada, this extra adventurous kid is amazingly talented on his surfboard wants to become a pro surfer someday. Plays the guitar and sings the more upbeat songs. Special trick: Pop Shuv-it A maneuver that is similar to a chop hop with the difference being that the surfer spins the surfboard 180 degrees under their feet while they are in the air.

5. Characters Oshi- Half Japanese, half Hawaiian rocker and has a board to match his image with scull and cross boards. He invented and always wears a waterproof ipod. He plays base guitar. Special trick: Air to Fakie A maneuver where surfers get air and lands with the tail of the board sliding backward down the face of the wave causing him to surf backwards.

6. Characters Sebastian, Originally from Brisbane, Australia aka “Surfer’s Paradise,” he is the nature lover that organizes a club to clean up the beach. Blonde “fro” hair and always wears a peace sign necklace. Plays guitar in the band and plays acoustic around the fire. Special trick: Arial Flip  A 360 air in which a surfer performs a complete flip and lands on the back of the wave as it breaks. Many attempt this, but Kelly Slater is most notable for exiting a wave this way.

7. Characters Jomo- Is Jamaican, he builds all the surfboards but has never surfed because is afraid of the ocean and ashamed to admit it. The other surfbratz learn of his fear and teach him to surf, they get as excited as he does when he catches his first wave. He plays drums/percussion & guitar and sings all the reggae songs. Benny  A benny is someone who dresses like, talks like, acts like, and hangs out with actual hardcore surfers, but is not one themselves. He or she may know how to surf but do not do it on a regular basis and are generally not very good. a benny is somewhat of a "surfer-poser", but still a generally cool label to have.

8. Characters Savvy- The token “surfer chick”, she is from Southern CA and has blonde hair and a pink board, dog surfs tandem with her, she is very compassionate and free spirited. She plays keyboards. Tandem When two people ride on a surfboard at the same time. Old school longboard act where a dude and Wahine displayed style moves...some say the modern "expression-session" was born from these.

9. Characters Clyde- A stray dog the kids found on the beach one day that Savannah just fell in love with, little did she know that he had “golden” powers and uses those powers to save lives and many other things (retrieve boards, etc.) He plays the tambourine and rides tandem on Savvy’s board.

10. The Idea Sammy Sandstone & The Surfbratz™ “Where the sand meets the surf … fate meets friendship!” Sammy Sandstone and The Surfbratz is a cartoon about five trendsetting surfers that come from different regions of the world. These five characters meet up every summer and experience the “fun in the sun” that only surfing can warrant. Through their adventures in and out of the water; they learn that each character has something unique to add to the group. They discover that they all have another thing in common other than surfing, music. They form a band and become “The Brat-Pack Surfers”… They surf all day and play all night.

11. Each character is unique but all have strong morals and values. They share these values with their viewers and teach children to love and respect each other by expressing genuine kindness and sincerity. This animation inspires good habits, good karma, rules, rewards, adventure, warmth and compassion. In fact, when they find a stray dog left on the beach, they nurture the dog back to health and adopt him as the ‘brat-pack” pet and name him Clyde. Clyde is a Golden Retriever with natural “golden” powers.

12. These characters have respect for our ocean and represent that kids can have fun naturally with what is given to us free of charge. Their instruments are hand me downs and sometimes found in thrift stores. They take pride in the fact that the instruments have a story all their own and didn’t cost much. They will intrigue viewers with their mind blowing tricks, colorful surfboards and catchy tunes. Parents will enjoy watching as much as their children because of the lessons, humor and music.

13. The crabby sand crabs that the Surfbratz trample every morning! King Crableg Kid Crableg Ol’ Blacknose, the ocean gossip, the wave forecaster, has anxiety attacks when the Surfbratz are surfing, this shark is afraid of kids!
