LDQ Induction Awards LDQ: Induction to Supporting People who have Learning Disabilities At Level 2 and Level 3 Closely match CIS - the route to CIS for learning disability services Cover much knowledge for NVQ core units and ‘recurring topics’ Some sector specific knowledge not covered as before

    2. Content Four units in each award Parallel units at level 2 and level 3 Same learning outcomes (so shared learning programmes) Differentiated assessment Linked to workplace and practice

Assessment Usually by written task (as now) Provision for other formats if required (as now) Some variation in approach between awarding bodies Shared principles: assessment will - Check knowledge (not performance) Cover all learning outcomes Confirm individual learning Be objective and trackable

Transition Joint guidance to be issued by Skills for Care and Valuing People, with CSCI involvement Cut-off points for registering on existing awards Completion period for learners already registered ‘New’ registrations will not normally be able to access ‘old’ units (including all optional units) …but check with Awarding Body
