  4. Pituitary gland • Master gland • The endocrine system’s link to the nervous system

  5. Pons • Communication pathway between the cerebrum and cerebellum

  6. Pineal Gland • Light sensitive • closely related to emotions

  7. Midbrain • Aids in hearing and sight

  8. Corpus Callosum • Communication pathway between the two hemispheres of the brain (left and right)

  9. Medulla Oblongata • Controls basic life functions; heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, etc.
