Traivion Singleton Which Brand Of Popcorn Pops the Most?
Introduction Popcorn is a very popular snack in the United States. Popcorn is usually eaten in movie theaters, but it is also a popular home snack. There are main brands of popcorn sold at various prices. But don’t be fooled, the price does not indicate that you are necessarily getting your moneys worth or that it will pop more kernels. When you heat popcorn, all the kernels may not pop. The number of kernels that will pop varies from brand to brand.
Background Information • There are two main types of popcorn, pearl popcorn and rice popcorn. Pearl popcorn has rounded kernels that are usually yellow or orange in color. Rice popcorn, also called hulless popcorn, has pointed, white kernels. When heated, steam creates inside the kernels; moist center causes the kernel to expand or pop open. When the steam is released in the small explosion, the kernel is turned inside out and the soft center becomes filed with air. Most of the world's popcorn is grown in the Midwestern part of the United States.
