Symbols of Estonia • Blue is blue sky above the native land; • Black is the soil of the homeland • White is purity, the brighter future The coat of arms of Estonia is a golden shield which includes three slim, blue leopards in the middle, with oak branches along the side of the shield. The Cornflower— the National Flower of Estonia The Oak tree is sacred to Estonians The Barnswallow— Estonia's National Bird

  5. We live in Ida-Viru County. It is one of the 15th counties of Estonia. It is the most north eastern part of the country bordered with the Finnish Gulf in the north, the Narva River in the east and Peipsi Lake in the south.

  6. We have beautiful nature in our region. Lake Peipsi Ontika waterfall the Finnish Gulf

  7. In our county, Ida- Viru, we have* the highest waterfall in Estonia* the largest lake area of 40 lakes within 30 km, * the highest artificial mountains of 173 meters above the sea level

  8. * the deepest river in Narva, * Estonia's most ancient Crusader fortress

  9. * The world's biggest mine of the extraction of oil shale is in Ida-Viru

  11. Population of our county is employed in:industry- 65%, in service- 20% in agriculture- 15%

  12. We have *access to electronic voting, *e-school registers, *electronic database of public institutions. Internet has 65% of residents.

  13. Our town Kohtla-Jarve is located in northern part of Estonia in Ida-Viru County.

  15. Our traditions… In our school there are many interesting traditions which we are proud of.

  16. The annual Day of Health Every year we spend this day on walking. We go either to the forest near our town or we stay at school and have sport competitions in our school sport hall.

  17. Students` exchange… • One of the projects of our school • Communication with Estonian boys improves our knowledge of Estonian language

  18. Citizen`s Day… • a debate is held between high school students • guests from other schools are usually invited

  19. Show on the dance floor … Everybody has the chance to demonstrate their abilities in ball dancing.

  20. We get fun on Thanksgiving Day

  21. We love Christmas…

  22. “Goldfish” is the recreation center for the children of primary classes of our school …

  23. School newspaper… • “ÜG INSIDE” – newspaper, created by pupils • recognized as the best school newspaper in Russian in 2007

  24. Every year children of the 3rd form like “The ABC Party”

  25. We have the big experience in participation in the city comedy club…

  26. We like to struggle in Brain Ring …

  27. We love travelling everywhere!

  28. We open Europe for ourselves. Wow, I`m in Europe! Our speech in the European Parliament.
