  2. WEBQUEST I Introduction Bibliotherapy is a term that means many things to many people. The goal of this Webquest is to examine the concept in light of what you already know and the Resources/information provided on the websites. Be prepared to share your thinking in class.

  3. WEBQUEST I • The Task • 1.Prior to linking to the Indiana Website Source do a quickwrite on each of the following issues: • What is Bibliotherapy? • Why Bibliotherapy? Its purposes… • Who does it? • How? • Brainstorm Range of Topics of Concern • 2. During the reading and scanning of websites jot down notes to add to your quickwrite. Read the first two • Links closely, scan other links. Jot down ideas, topics of interest. • 3. After reading and taking notes reconceptualize your response to the above issues by rewriting your response • To each of the questions integrating what you have learned. • 4.Go beyond what you have read by identify and locate a children’s picture book under one of the topics of concern. • Read it and design a plan for how and when you might use it. Be prepared to share your plan in class.

  4. WEBQUEST I The Process Download two copies of the Issues Worksheet. On one copy do your quickwrite and then while you are visiting the sites add new ideas to the same sheet using a different color pen. After visiting the websites rewrite your reconceptualized responses on the second worksheet. Jot down plans and identify when and why you might use the book you have located on a topic of concern. Bring all materials to class in a three ring notebook. Click here for Worksheet Sources Click on the website button. Visit each of the links. Read the first two links closely. Visit other links in a more cursory fashion to get a general idea of the range of concerns and resources available. http://www.indiana.edu/~eric_rec/ieo/bibs/bibl-ele.html Click here to website Conclusion You should come away with a broadened notion of the concept of Bibliotherapy.
