Onlooking is Dr. Aduda Josiah, Dean, School of Business. The University of Nairobi, School of Business successfully launched its 5th Africa International Business and Management (AIBUMA) Conference. The Conference was typified by splendor and delight and had the full participation of entire stakeholders. Christopher Khaemba represented Dr. Evans Kidero who was the chief guest. Other guests present were; Mr. Stephen Wainaina, acting for Ms. Ann Waiguru , Cabinet Secretary (Devolution and Planning), Prof. PeterMbithi, DVC, Administration and Finance (A&F), Prof. EnosNjeru, Principal, College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) and Dr. Aduda Josiah, Dean, School of Business. As the keynote speaker, Mr. Stephen Wainaina officially opened this high-status conference. In his remarks, he acknowledged the vital role which the University of Nairobi plays in fostering research activities, innovations, collaborations and fusion between chief players in academia and business sector. He also appreciated its role in enhancing the visibility of the University. He was awarded the 5th AIBUMA Keynote Speaker trophy. The event whose theme is “Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility: The way forward for emerging economies” is destined to create a platform that will facilitate exchange and sharing of business ideas with renowned local, regional and global business moguls, practitioners and researchers from both public and private entities. For the betterment of humanity, it is designed to offer sustainable economic development policies in emerging economies and generate global best practices in the entrepreneurship world.
