Holiday Lane Batting Cage Set-up InstructionsJuly 2007 In-ground Posts (6 places) Cross Piece (2) – Short (1) - Long Upright Poles (qty 6) Cement Footings (qty 2) Frame Assembly • Frame Assembly: • Place frame components on grass as shown (the largest cross piece is the center frame). • Insert Cross piece into (2) Upright poles • Stand up frame assembly and insert into In-ground Posts (two adults are needed to stand up the frames). • Repeat for the other two Frame Assemblies. Holiday Lane Batting Cage Set-up Instructions End 1 Frame End 2 Frame Center Frame Tension Cable (each end) Net Attachment Points (9 places) • Net Assembly: • Unroll Netting on grass beneath Frame Assemblies. • Using a ladder, start at one end of the cage and attach the outer corners of the net (white ropes) to the lanyards hanging from the Frame. While up on the ladder, attach the Frame Support Tension Cable speed clips to the eyebolts located in the corners of the Frame. • From ground, secure the Tension Cable to the cement footing in the ground via speed clip/turnbuckle assembly. • Use ladder to attach center of net to center of Frame. • Move Ladder to center Frame and attach outer edges of net to Frame at locations indicated by colored ribbon, then attach center lanyard to net at colored ribbon. • Move to far end of cage and repeat Step 2. • Adjust Tension cable turnbuckles as necessary.
Holiday Lane Batting Cage Set-up Instructions End 1 Frame End 2 Frame Center Frame Net Staking Points • Net Staking: • Weave yellow rope along bottom edges of netting around (3) sides of net. • Stake rope to ground using plastic stakes and mallet at equal spaces around cage.
