  1. Creating a Wikipage on Wikispaces Student page set up instructions

Your teacher will send you an email invitation • Check your email • Click in the email where it tells you to join here. • Once you click on the link, you should be redirected to the wiki. • Click Create an account • Create a username using your first and last name EX. dawnwalker • Use a password that you will remember. Write it down somewhere. • Make sure No is clicked on Make a Wiki? • Click Join • You should be redirected to the Wiki you will create your page on Joining the Wiki

  3. Click New Page • In the Page Name box, title your page appropriately • Add any tags that you think are appropriate if anyone wants to find your page. • Click CREATE To Add a New Page on your wiki

  4. When you open your page for the first time the Edit toolbar will be open • If the Edit toolbar is not there, click the EDIT tab on the top right of the page • Type in the text box to enter any text you would like on your page. To Edit your Wikipage

You will need to find images you would like to use and save them to your computer before you complete this step. • Place your cursor where you want your image on your page • Click File • When the Images and Files window opens, click Upload Files • Find the image you want to upload on your computer and double click it. • In the Images and Files window, click on the image to place it on your wikipage. • Use the toolbars to edit it and then click save. Create an embeddable object and copy the html embed code on the website. • Place your cursor where you want the object to embed • In the EDIT toolbar, click Widget • If you do not see the type of widget you would like to embed, click Other HTML • Paste your copied embed code in the text box • Click Save • A blue widget box will appear on your wiki • Click Save (Your object should load on the page ) To embed objects in your wikipage
