Vocabulary Words • AutoShapes: Pre-drawn shapes that come with Word 2010 • Bounding box: A border that displays around the edges of a selected object. • Clip Art: Pictures, sounds, and videos that you can insert in an Office document • Clip collection: A folder used to store clip files in the Microsoft Clip Organizer

Vocabulary Words • Device driver: Software program that provides the instructions your computer needs to communicate with a device, such as a scanner • Floating Object: Object that is positioned independently from the document text. • Microsoft Clip Organizer: Folder that comes with Office containing drawings, photographs, sound, video, and other media files • Object: A graphic, picture, chart, shape, text box, or other elements that can be inserted in a document • Scanner: A device that converts printed documents into digital formats

Corner handles are round, and side handles are square • Text box: Rectangular drawing object in which text or graphic images can be inserted and positioned anywhere on a page • USB: Universal Serial Bus. Type of connection used to attached devices such as flash drives, scanners, cameras, and printers to a computer

  14. Using Text Boxes • Text boxes allow you to position blocks of text on a page or change direction of the text • There are several different styles
