  2. Yes, I have a twin! Born in Newark, NJ, and was raised in Accra, Ghana.

  4. I came to the United States at the age of 14. Within a short time, I made new friends.

  5. ATTENDED ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL LOST HOPE ASPIRE

  6. I wanted to be either a dentist, chef, or a teacher. I wasn’t sure… …but within me, I knew I had a passion for teaching children.

  7. THE SHIFT BEGAN…

  8. Shifted from Teaching a whole class without any idea of their strengths, interests, and who they are as learners. She has a tool box but she knows nothing about the car.

  9. And from the idea that punishment makes students smarter Punish the car if it doesn’t respond to you. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang1

  11. AS A MECHANIC EXAMINES A CAR TO KNOW IT’S NEEDS, SO ARE TEACHERS SUPPOSED TO KNOW THEIR STUDENTS. …AND THAT’S WHAT I’VE BECOME
