Video • We will be watching a short video about families in the Spanish-speaking country of Ecuador • While you are watching the video, create a Venn Diagram and record similarities and differences to families in the United States Families in the United States Families in Ecuador
Escritura • Antes de escribir • You are going to write a letter that includes a description of your family. Before you begin, create an idea map (like the example) with a circle for each member of your family. Be sure to include information from each of these categories fore ach family member: • Names and their relationship to you • Physical characteristics • Likes and dislikes • Once you have completed your idea map, raise your hand for Ms. Hall to check it
Escritura • Since you will be writing a letter, review these useful expressions for letter-writing in Spanish. Pay attention to punctuation! • Use your idea map and the list of letter-writing expressions to write a letter that describes your family to a friend. Be sure to include adjectives, likes/dislikes and verbs (infinitives) you have learned this semester. Make your letter as interesting as possible!
