“Inter-professional education (IPE) is important because it enables students from various professions to learn about, from, or with each other, and therefore resulting in the collaborative, comprehensive care that our clients/patients value and expect. Given the opportunity, during my time at UMMC I would like to participate in inter professional activities and training to learn core principles and concepts of each contributing discipline… and become familiar with the basic language and mindsets of the various disciplines. This, in turn, will prepare me with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for collaborative inter-professional practice in the future.”
