Peru! Challenge: Contestants, after landing in Peru's capitol Lima, drive to the city of Cusco. Here they will construct a scale model of the agricultural terraces used in the city to feed the people of Machu Picchu. Once they have shown mastery of this ancient skill they will take a train to their pit stop.
Pit Stop: Machu Picchu Welcome to Machu Picchu, ceremonial city to the ancient Incan people. This city is not only beautiful but it gives insight into the ways of the civilization that thrived in it. Now Machu Picchu serves as a popular tourist destination.

Namibia! Challenge: Cook a traditional dish, Potjiekos (one- pot bush stew) the ingredients of which include,meat, beer and spices. When the stew is completed to the satisfaction of the judge, contestants will receive their next clue
Pit Stop:Sossusvlei Desert Said to be the highest sand dunes in the world, Sossuslei is an amazing natural phenomenon and one of Namibia's most spectacular sights.

Spain! Challenge: Contestants will be flown to the capital city of Madrid. Once there, they must make their way to a government building and learn the areas and populations of the sub-metropolitan areas of Madrid, then calculate the different population densities, and finally rank them greatest-to-least.
Pit Stop: San Pedro El Viejo The historic church of San Pedro El Viejo. Madrid is well known for its Catholic churches, and San Pedro its the second oldest church still standing today, having been built in the 14th century.

Tibet! Challenge: Landing in the capital city of Lhasa, contestants must make their way to the nearest Buddhist Temple, where they will ask the monks about Tibet's political history and its struggle for independence. To advance, they must make an educated statement about whether or not Tibet should be allowed to sever all ties with China.
Pit Stop: Potala Palace Built in 637 as a meditation retreat by King Songtsän Gampo, and renovated and modernized in 1645, the Potala Palace was a place of residence for the Dalai Lama for many years, until he fled the country in 1959.

Japan! Challenge: Landing in Tokyo, contestants must navigate the city's complex but environmentally friendly railway system to the headquarters of JR East, Tokyo's largest passenger railway company, where they must talk to employees, about the different ways JR East plans to reduce their carbon footprint in order to complete the challenge.
Pit Stop: Tokyo Imperial Palace On the same grounds where the Edo Castle stood before it was destroyed in a fire in 1873, the Tokyo Imperial Castle serves as a residence to the emperor and his family. It includes numerous households and areas, both administrative and residential, as is typically off-limits to the general public.

New Zealand! Challenge: Landing in the capital city of Wellington, contestants will be greeted by members of the Māori, New Zealand's indigenous people, and brought to a traditional Māori ceremony. There they must learn about different elements of kapa haka, a traditional Māori performance art form which incorporates singing and dance, and take part in a performance.
Pit Stop: The "Beehive" The executive wing of New Zealand's parliament buildings, it houses the offices of cabinet members as well as that of the prime minister. Its appearance was conceptualized by the Scottish architect Sir Basil Spence, and it was given its name because of its resemblance to a beehive.

Nevada! Challenge: Contestants will navigate to Las Vegas's famous Strip, just outside the city. Contestants will then become tour guides along the Strip. To do this successfully they must talk to employees at each casino they visit in order to learn how the casinos make a profit, and what their average profit is. At the end of their tour they must then decide where the best location on the strip is financially and venture a guess as to why. When they have completed their first successful tour they will head to their final pit stop...
LAS VEGAS! Welcome to the final pit stop of the race! Las Vegas! Contestants will end their race in the historic Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, the first hotel and Casino to open in Las Vegas in 1906. Las Vegas has gone on to be a major point of economic development in the United States. It has been called the "Entertainment Capitol of the World and shows no signs of slowing down.
