The Nature of Sport • Sport • A set of competitive activities in which winners and losers are determined by physical performance within established rules • What is the difference between a sport and a game? • Do Americans overvalue winning? • Does the statement, “It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game,” really something Americans believe in?
