For example, the decision that Britain and France made to invade Egypt led for the United States and the Soviet Union threaten to get involved. • This skit was meant to portray the struggle for some countries to take control of the waterways and for others to just keep peace. • Britain and France wanted to take over the waterway, which belonged to Egypt.
