Challenge Skills Shortage Standing in the way of the projected growth of 6% is the challenge of skills shortages that we face. We need to constantly create a new skills base in our country which is geared towards addressing the needs of our economy in order to sustain its growth path.
Challenge Skills Shortage One of the questions we must answer is how can FET Colleges bridge this gap and respond to industry needs? In the State of the Nation address the President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Thabo Mbeki identified FET Colleges as a terrain where the battle to correct this shortage of skills will be fought.
