“Pass the Jug” • Imagine that you are on the prairie with Jacob’s family. Water is scarce and you need to distribute it properly. • You have just finished fighting the first fire and are very thirsty. • “Pass the Jug” and pour out into your cup how much water you think you will need to quench your thirst.
“Pass the Jug” continued • Pour all the water back into the jug. • This time, you have a description of yourself and how much water you need. Person number 1 takes their water accordingly and then so on. • How did this work? Did everyone get their fair share?
Now your turn! • If you were in Jacob’s family, how might you have conserved water between the whole group fairly? • Explore options with your group. • Work together to write a plan on how you might conserve water and make it last as long as possible during the drought. • Must be ½ page long.
