2. 2 Thessalonians • The Thessalonians strongly believed in the return of Jesus • However, two errors needed to be corrected • Doctrinal error of thinking Jesus’ return was so imminent that the day of Christ had come 2:1-2 • Behavioral error of thinking Jesus’ return was so imminent that they quit working 3:11
