Meet Jeremy Means Presentation created by Jeremy Means
Jeremy James Means • I was born on June 18th, 1988; In Fallon Nevada. I’m an enrolled member of the Walker River Paiute Tribe. Schurz Nevada is where I call home. I’m 22 years old and see myself as a student, musician, and an outdoorsmen.
Who I am • Student • Musician • Outdoorsman
As a student • My career as a college student started in the fall of 2006 in Reno Nevada. After completing one year I took a break to work full time. I didn’t start again until the fall of 2010, here at N.W.I.C..
As a student • I currently maintain a 3.83 g.p.a. and after this quarter will have over 50 credits. I am pursuing a Direct Transfer Degree. I plan to graduate next summer, and attend Washington State University in the fall of 2012. There I will pursue a degree in Business Management.
As a Musician • I started playing the guitar when I was 9 years old. I grew up around many different music scenes and was exposed to a lot of different instruments at a young age. Once I got familiar with the guitar
As a Musician • I picked up the bass and the drums soon after. Since then, I’ve played gigs with 3 bands; one of which I’m still currently working with. “Caramel Cartel” is a Nevada based band in which I play rhythm guitar and sing lead vocals.
As a Musician • In late June we plan on getting back into the studio to work on our second album, “Angels Don’t Cry”. Around the same time we are scheduled to play a few dates in Northern Nevada.
As an outdoorsman • Being outdoors has always been one of my most favorite things to do. Going camping and cave diving, is why I look forward to summer so much. I have always felt that being outdoors is good for the soul. One of my future goals is trying to tie a business management degree with a career outdoors.
Jeremy James Means • I hope that this powerpoint presentation helped you get to know me a little better. Although there are many aspects of my life that I didn’t mention, describing myself as a student, musician, and outdoorsman is a basic foundation of who I am.
