1. Physical Chemistry ChairSpecialty 320 700 «Environment Protection and Rational Usage of Natural Resources» • Professional activity of the engineers-ecologists is connected with protection, development of more clean and ecological pure technologies, perfection of operating manufactures in different industrial branches, estimation and prediction of ecological consequences from economic activities of a society. • Engineer-ecologists work at the industrial enterprises, at the designed establishments, at the industrial-administrative department, at the expert structures, in educational sphere and others.

2. Physical Chemistry ChairScientific Achievements The following researches are conducted at the Chair : • physic-chemical researches and development of the theory and methods of management of a surface of diamondlike conductors, elements of radio-, micro-, optoelectronic devices; • Environment protection and rational usage of natural resources. The results of fundamental researches became the basis for the following practical investigations: • Optimal terms of growth, storage and stabilization of semi-conducted crystals’ and films’ surface; • Creation of highly sensitive and selective semi-conducted sensors of ecological function; • Creation of supporting quartz oscillator stabilization system; • Creation of nondestructive control methods; • Creation of new catalysts.

3. Physical Chemistry ChairEducation Process • New methodical and technical maintenance of the education process was developed. • Specialized ecological laboratory was created where the analysis of natural and sewage waters, ground and emissions can be done. There are also some other laboratories which would be necessary for the specialty. • There is also an opportunity to get post-graduate education on the basis of the Physical Chemistry Specialty.
