Why develop the hub? • Community safety is a concern for many people in the city and the partnership wanted to enhance its collaborative approach • Supporting recommendations from the Christie Commission on the Future Delivery of Public Service • to integrate service provision • prioritise expenditure on public services which prevent negative outcomes • our whole system of public services – public, third and private sectors – must become more efficient by reducing duplication and sharing services • Single Outcome Agreement • Sustain effective partnership working with police and fire services beyond their reforms.

Vision and objectives Aberdeen will be the safest city in Scotland for everyone who lives, works and visits here. • Improve community safety outcomes, specifically in terms of antisocial behavior, community fire safety and violence priority business areas • Deliver more efficient and sustainable solutions to address community safety problems.

  6. Team Aberdeen • 28 officers from Aberdeen City Council; Police Scotland and Scottish Fire Rescue Service based at the hub • NHS Grampian; Victim Support; GREC; ADP; SACRO, Action for Children; Aberdeen Inspired

  7. Daily T&CG • Input document features: • Incidents from previous 24 hours (or weekend) • Repeat offenders, victims and locations • Housing – neighbour complaints • Community safety – ASBIT and city wardens incidents • Police – violence, vandalism, motorcycle annoyance, youth annoyance, breach of ASBO, neighbour complaints. • Fire – wilful fires, accidental house fires • Requests for mutual assistance • 1000+ tasks identified to prevent further problems

  8. Neighbour Complaints 42% decrease since 2011/12 17% reduction since 2012/13

  9. Future Development • Taking partnership analysis to a new level • Collecting all the most relevant information for the T&CG • Strengthening relationships with health and social work • Priority families?
