  4. David’s Reaction, v. 22-37 • He ran to check on his brothers and sees Goliath, v. 22-23 • David learns of the reward for killing the Philistine, v. 25f, 30 • Rewards are a great incentive, cf. 1 Peter 1:3-5, Colossians 1:3-5 • Eliab belittles David, v. 28
