  2. Life is exponentially more complicated and complex in today’s increasingly multicultural, and highly interconnected and interdependent world of the 21st century than it was 50 years ago.

  3. Today’s students will be called upon to address a host of issues, while living and working in a world of instant connectivity to a global society.

  4. Jobs will involve non-routine, analytical, and interactive communication skills.

  5. What, then, are the implications for teaching and learning in this modern “flat world”?
