2. Summary of our film • Our film is called Vengeance. • Picture this… • The first scene begins. We see a girl jogging through the woods. It’s day time, but deadly silent, with only the sounds of her footsteps. Unknown to her, but visible to us watching the scene, we see a hooded figure lurking in the trees every now and again. Despite the fact she doesn’t see this figure, she still feels uneasy and as if she’s being watched. She keeps turning to look around and nothing is there. Her jogging slows down as she notices a trainer poking out from behind a bush. She slowly approaches, and it is a dead body! She knows the girl. The camera zooms into the face, where a clear and unusual marking is cut into the body’s cheek. • The jogger is horrified and she runs off. The figure is standing in the background…holding a knife, watching the jogger run off. – This makes it clear that the hooded figure doesn’t kill everyone he comes across, meaning there must be a motive behind the killing.

3. The next scene is a man (her father) sat down in his house.The girl describes what she saw to her father – who is a police officer. She then draws out the marking onto paper. He recognises the marking from a previous case he worked on a while ago. He orders her to forget she ever saw the marking, but fails to explain what it means or that he knows anything about it. • He then calls the police up to report the body and ends the scene by telling his daughter, “Hopefully that’s the last we will hear of that” • Over their shoulders and outside the window we once again see 5 hooded figures, just watching them.

4. Later on, the girl Is on the phone to her friend explaining what happened. We see her friend on the phone, who is telling her not to worry about it. They end the phone call. • The girl leaves her room and starts to walk down the hallway. She sees a light coming from her dads study, marked with a KEEP OUT Sign on the door which is slightly open. She’s never been allowed into this room, it’s always been where her dad kept his police work. For some reason, her dad’s reaction to what she saw earlier makes her feel curious enough to enter the room. • The first thing we see is several photos on a notice board, each of graphic victims of killings, What strikes her as odd is that each victim has the marking she saw earlier cut into their body somewhere. • The next few minutes continuously cuts back from the girl in the study to her friend in the kitchen.

5. The next thing the girl in the study finds is an old looking article taped to the wall. It is called ‘Harrison Family Home Burnt Down’ • There is a list of the people who burnt it down … she scans the list. Recognising most names, including the last name of the girl who she found at the start and sees her friend’s last name…presumably her friend’s ancestor. • Her friend is in the kitchen, and is grabbed by a hood figure. 2 more hooded figures stand around and they kill her. • The girl has got on her bike and rode to her friends to save her. • She gets to her friends but is too late. Her friend is lying in a pool of blood, and we see the same marking on HER FACE. Any questions or comments? 
