ENVIRO AP - Overview Earth Systems and Resources (10–15%) The Living World (10–15%) Population (10–15%) Land and Water Use (10–15%) Energy Resources and Consumption (10–15%) Pollution (25–30%)
ENVIRO AP - Description Let’s take a few moments to *gently* review the AP Enviro Overview that I passed out. I’m very excited at the width and breadth of the coursework, especially the emphasis on the ‘society’ sorts of things like laws, treaties, and such. Please also note the Physical Science parts such as the specifics of energy, Second Law of Thermodynamics and the like
Supporting Arguments There is currently no AP Earth Science Course taught at GHHS • Students who excel in 9th Grade Lab Science, Geology and/or Marine & Field Ecology have no options to continue in an accelerated course
Supporting Arguments Alignment With PHS Alignment with Stated GHHS Goals of Increased AP Participation Re-establish CTE Science Class
Supporting Arguments AP Enviro can be: A conduit to further AP Courses An introductory course for students who are afraid of the rigor of AP Bio, Chem & Physics
